The programme offered by our Faculty represents the complex discipline that “English” has become today both as a university discipline and in society in general. Aware of contemporary critical views towards teaching language and literature in isolation, we have devised a programme that reflects the importance of worldwide social events and new artistic forms for the studies that constitute the field of English today. That’s why our curriculum encompasses courses such as Linguistics, English Literature covering different historical periods, but also courses such as Cultural Studies, Film, Gender Studies, Creative Writing or Contemporary Critical Theory.

In order to gain practical experience in teaching, students are offered the chance to observe English as a Foreign Language classes in local schools, as well as prepare and hold their own classes.
