Welcome to the Faculty of Informatics at NYUS

Informatics studies the application of Information Technology to the professions, sciences, arts and society. The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at NYUS has set the display excellence and leadership in Informatics programs and offers as its foremost goal. There is an urgent demand in our society for Graduates in Informatics, particularly with interdisciplinary academic skills, knowledge in contemporary businesses and open-minded personalities.

Our undergraduate programs in general Computer Sciences and Information Systems are offering state-of-the-art education in information technology and science with emphasis on creative human applications. Starting from October 2008 we are offering Staffordshire University (http://www.staffs.ac.uk) undergraduate studies in three schemas: Computer Science and Software Engineering, Applied Information Technology and Web and Multimedia. Each of those consists of several award titles on the Bachelor of Science (Honors) level. These are three years programs (180 ECTS) which result in double degree after graduation: A Staffordshire University, Faculty of Computing Engineering and Technology UK degree and a national degree accredited in Republic of Macedonia delivered by NYUS. Enrollment is open for students of the first year of studies and transfer students wishing to be considered for entry at the second year of studies.

The potentials for undergraduate and graduate education, research, placement and outreach are major assets of NYUS and in particular of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. The Faculty of Informatics at NYUS maintains a policy of offering teaching and research opportunities to PhD holders who have gained their degrees at prestigious educational institutions throughout the EU and the USA and promotes the values of professionalism, honesty and integrity in all aspects of the academic life.
